  Private Lessons

Private Lessons meet weekly for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s ability and preference, and are scheduled by teacher and student at mutually convenient times.

Recital  Recitals

Recitals are held at the conclusion of every semester, allowing our students the opportunity to share their musical accomplishments with family and friends. All students are strongly encouraged to participate.

The Searcy Community School of Music is sponsored by the Searcy Arts Council, and is not affiliated with Harding University. We express our appreciation to the Department of Music for allowing us the use of their facilities.

  New addition for fall 2010!

Colleen O’Connell will be teaching a group music class for students already enrolled in private string lessons. The purpose of this class is to enhance reading skills and enjoy making music together. Violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists are welcome. The class will meet on Wednesday afternoons from 4:15-5:00 for twelve sessions, beginning on September 8. The fee for the class will be $120, or four payments of $31.50. We will need a minimum of four students for this class to be feasible, so register today!
