Other Fees
Registration fee: A nonrefundable family registration fee of $20 per school year is due with application. Your application fee entitles the student to a free SCSM t-shirt. Additional shirts are available for purchase, if desired.
Music/Materials Purchase: Each student's individual instructor will recommend music to be purchased. Photocopies, except in emergency situations, will not be allowed.
Lesson times and payment details
Lessons are arranged as soon as you mail in your application and registration fee. Your teacher will contact you to schedule a mutually convenient time. For kids or adults beginning midway through the semester, tuition will be prorated according to the number of weeks remaining in the semester when lessons begin.
Tuition may be paid in four monthly payments or by the semester. A discount is offered for semester payment, due by the end of the third week of lessons. Monthly payments are due by the first lesson of the month. A $10 late fee will be assessed if payment is not received by the 15th of the month. Reminders will be sent only when payment is past due.
Payments may be dropped off at the SCSM office, Reynolds Center M112, or mailed to SCSM, c/o Lis Jones, Director, HU Box 10767, Searcy, AR 72149. Please make checks payable to "SCSM."
Policies
Makeup lessons: Missed lessons will be made up at the teacher’s discretion; however, SCSM teachers are not obligated to make up lessons missed by students. Lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled, if possible, or a refund will be issued.
Holidays and Inclement Weather: The SCSM Calendar is based on the calendars of Searcy schools and Harding University. In case of inclement weather, contact your teacher.
