The Searcy Community School of Music is sponsored by the Searcy Arts Council, and is not affiliated with Harding University. We express our appreciation to the Department of Music for allowing us the use of their facilities.

Private Music lessonsPrivate Lessons and Recitals

Private Lessons meet weekly for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on the student’s ability and preference, and are scheduled by teacher and student at mutually convenient times. We offer lessons in:

  • Piano
  • Voice
  • Violin and other stringed instruments
  • All band instruments
  • Guitar
  • Percussion

Lesson times: Lessons are arranged as soon as you mail in your application and registration fee. Your teacher will contact you to schedule a mutually convenient time.

Recitals are held at the conclusion of every semester, allowing our students the opportunity to share their musical accomplishments with family and friends. All students are strongly encouraged to participate.

Makeup lessons: Missed lessons will be made up at the teacher’s discretion; however, SCSM teachers are not obligated to make up lessons missed by students. Lessons missed by the teacher will be rescheduled, if possible, or a refund will be issued.

Holidays and Inclement Weather: The SCSM Calendar is based on the calendars of Searcy schools and Harding University. In case of inclement weather, contact your teacher.
